About Samir Bhatia

Samir Bhatia is the founder and CEO of SMECorner.com, an online platform that enables SME’s to avail loans from banks. His previous assignment included playing the role of a Managing Director and CEO at Equifax Credit Information Services. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Samir has a vast knowledge and experience of over 27 years of experience in the Banking and Financial Services Industry. He has worked with successful global banks such as Citibank, Barclays Bank plc and HDFC Bank in the past.

Samir has opulent experience and exposure in the diverse aspects of Financial Services and has been on the Board of Directors of several respected companies.

Before spearheading Equifax Inc., Samir had a stint at HDFC Bank Ltd.’s as their Country Head, Corporate Banking. He was also a part of the core team of senior executives who were the founding members of the bank in India. Prior to that, Samir worked at Citibank; here he spent several years working in areas like Financial Control Unit, Credit Administration, Risk Management and Corporate Banking.  Samir was also involved in building a Financial Analysis system that was implemented across all Citibank entities in the Europe, Africa and Asia.

Before SMECorner.com, Samir was the Managing Director and CEO of Equifax Inc. a leader in credit information services. Here, he was in-charge of Equifax’s Indian affiliate Equifax Credit Information Services. Currently, he is the Founder and CEO of SMECorner.com. The aim of this company is to minimize risk and expand transparency to the borrowing process, so that they can help businesses fulfill their financial requirements in a hassle-free manner. Their goal is to provide easier, faster and efficient access to assets that can help businesses expand or finance a project.
